Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst from Concord Securities is claiming to have details of some of the upcoming iPad 2 components in their latest research note. The iPad 2 display will not get a higher resolution display as some have hoped. Instead, the iPad 2′s screen improvements will focus on thickness and anti-reflection. The screen is said to be 30-35% thinner and also offer a better sunlight reading experience due to the anti-reflective properties.
Also, according to the report the next iPad will use a Cortex A9 dual core processor running at 1.2GHz, as well as Imagination Technologies’ SGX 543 dual-core GPU. The iPad 2′s RAM will also see a much needed boost to 512MB, equal to the iPhone 4. The iPad 2 is also expected to have the same lower quality rear and front cameras found in the current iPod Touch.
Keep in mind, this is a rumor the information may be spot on or way off. However, an anti-reflective screen, alone, on the new iPad is very enticing.

iPad 2 – High Resolution Screen & SD Card Slot; iPhone 5 – A5 Processor
Engadget claims to have details about the next generation iPad (iPad 2), iPhone 5, and the next generation AppleTV,
Lets start out with the iPad 2: Nothing that hasn’t been previously reported… This includes a “super high resolution” screen, much like iPhone 4′s Retina Display. It’s said the screen size is to remain the same, but will include both front and rear-facing cameras. The extra port some leaked images highlighted, was speculated to be either a full sized USB port or an SD card slot; turns out, it’s an SD Card slot. However, it’s still not completely definitive.
Engadget notes that that Apple will start transitioning their communication chipsets to those produced by Qualcomm. This will allow Apple to support dual-modes allowing for both Verizon (CDMA) and AT&T (GSM) compatibility in the same hardware model. The chipset change will make it’s way to the iPhone 5, again, allowing CDMA and GSM networks on the same model. Currently, the iPhone 4 is two separate models, one for Verizon and the other for AT&T.
In addtion, it’s believe that the iPhone 5 will be completely redesigned, one major upgrade will be a Cortex A9-based multi-core processor, to be dubbed the Apple A5. The current Apple A4 processor is a single-core Cortex A8 processor. The Apple A5 processor is believed to also make its way into the next generation AppleTV. The iPhone 5 is expected to launch this summer.

White iPhone 4 Appears in Best Buy Inventory System
About friggin’ time! The long awaited (for some) white iPhone 4 has made an appearance in the Best Buy inventory system, with an launch date — February 27th — Which is a Sunday, an odd day for Apple to release a new product. Keep those fingers crossed, nonetheless.
The SKU and model numbers associated with the entries are identical to those previously used by Best Buy when it was taking pre-orders for the white iPhone 4. Pre-orders were canceled when Apple delayed availability of the white versions.
On a side note, Engadget reports that white iPhone 4 has also shown up on the inventory system of Vodafone Germany. Engadget notes their source indicated that a launch is expected “soon”.
It’s not known whether these vendors have actual information on an upcoming release of the white iPhone 4 models or if they’re merely preparing their internal systems in anticipation of Apple’s most recent claims of a “spring” release for the long-delayed white version.
