DigiTimes reporting that display panel suppliers, Samsung, LG, and Sharp, shipping a total of 3 millions units by the end of this month to Apple for the next-generation iPad which is rumored to be on track for March 2012 launch.

Display panel suppliers mentioned above have reportedly shipped 1 million display units to Apple and will send another 2 millions units by the end of November. The high-resolution display units seem to be dedicated for Apple’s 2012 iPad 3.
TPK Holding and Wintek are getting ready to ship near a million touch modules for the iPad 3 per month starting from some time between now and December, most probably November 2011.
The Korea Times also reported that LG is in talks with Apple to produce a smaller iPad, 7.35-inch, next year. Today’s DigiTimes report confirms this by saying Apple is “reportedly developing a new panel in 7.85-inch size”.
Yesterday, iLounge reported that the iPhone 5 will have aluminum body with 4-inch display, iPad 3 will be slightly thicker than the iPad 2 and the 2012's MacBook Pro will be thinner. Read the full report here.
