Now there are 4 grey icons on the main search page as History, Voice Search, Applications and Goggles. Also included in the update is a full-screen browsing mode and a visual UI for history allowing you to thumb through search results as pages.
The side-by-side view allows you to browse through web pages and search results simultaneously. Google Instant and Instant previews are also included in the iPad version. As for the iPhone, the update only lists minor bug fixes along with a full-screen mode provided. Updated Google Search app can be downloaded via iTunes.

Google: Siri Could Be A “Google Killer”
So Google sees a new challenger in the search engine war. You might be thinking it’s another search engine like Yahoo, Bing or some new upcoming search engines such as DuckDuckGo or Blekko. but it’s not.

The surprise is that we’rex talking about Siri, the new voice enabled personal assistance coming with the iPhone 4S. This news was a shock to us because the executive chairman of Google, Eric Schmidt, praised the new developed technology and believes to be an innovation in internet searching.
May be Schmidt just wanted to ease off the ongoing investigation against Google claiming that they are monopolizing the search engine industry. To reason with this, Google already had voice enable search on iOS and different Android devices. So Siri not an innovation but actually more of evolution to what was already there.

And the biggest argument is that Siri uses Google as its default search engine. You can also try other search engines like speaking ‘Search Bing for Weather’. But if you do not so it will show Google results. You can also change the default search engine from the settings but for now Siri is pre-set to Google.
So In our view until and unless Apple comes up with their own search engine to accompany Siri, Google should not feel any threat from Siri.
