How To Get Siri’s Sister VoiceOver To Read Emails (VIDEO)

Apple has incorporated a voiceover feature in all of its iPhone models after the 3G. To understand what this features provides its users with, one has to first know what a voiceover feature does. VoiceOver is a feature added by many mobile phone companies for the visually impaired. This feature allows the visually impaired user of an iPhone have the screen read to them out loud so they can use and operate the phone accordingly.

The voiceover feature is simply brilliant since it allows even those who are less fortunate amongst us, to avail this device to the best of its capabilities.

If you are an iPhone user, you can easily turn on this voiceover option by going into the Settings of your phone and clicking on the General tab. When you have done that, you need to access the Accessibility menu. In the Accessibility menu, you will see the Voiceover option and all you need to do is turn it on permanently. In the case of those users who are visually impaired the voiceover option should be permanently turned on, but in the case of regular iPhone users, you can attach this feature with a specific feature such as Triple clicking the home button as a way of turning it on or off.

Here’s a video showing done by one of our team showing it in action:

How Siri’s ‘Raise To Speak’ Feature Works Unveiled

As the iPhone 4S users have been loving Siri the new personal assistant feature offered by Apple what they are not aware of how the “raise to speak’ feature works with the Siri. Siri is automatically activated whenever an active iPhone is raised to the user’s ear. iPhone has always been incorporated with a proximity sensor to turn off the screen of the device so that a user can not input anything accidentally when talking on the phone.

However, a new type of proximity sensor has been loaded in the iPhone 4S which actually activates the device when ever it is near the users face and the sensor it self always remain on.

The new infrared LED proximity sensor that comes with the iPhone 4S always keep working while the handset is in use while the iPhone 4's proximity sensor only used to be active when it was close to the ear. This new infrared sensor allows users to work with the ‘raise to speak’ feature available with the Siri Voice Recognition. Therefore the sensor turns off the screen on the iPhone 4S so that users do not press any buttons by accident when they are using Siri or making a phone call.

Experts at teardown company iFixit were able to highlight the sensor which was located inside the new iPhone 4S. Watch the video below to find out how the “raise to speak” features works because of the new infrared LED proximity sensor.
