In its upcoming debut, expected on March 9th, the new iOS 5.1 is said to have a huge bundle of new features. The list includes Japanese language support for Siri, a new camera slider on the home screen, and Siri support for iPad 3.
As for the camera, instead of double tapping the home button, which is sort of old fashion and more time consuming, the new camera slider is always present on the home screen to access the camera with just one slide around.
Reports that have leaked to iPhoneHellas indicates a new powerful memo taking gadget which will include bulleted lists, font color control ability, underlined text, and a lot more. Yet, the new vivid interface of the app and the ability to recognize hand writing are the most appealing features. Also, this new appearance is said to have new wallpapers in addition to the many other new enhancements. It is quite a leap in the development of the app as it almost has not changed since the first appearance of iPhone in 2007.
iOS 5.1 beta version has been in the market for a considerable time, though it did not point to any of the new features in the upcoming public release.
Can’t wait to have it!

Fix Errors While Typing On iOS Much Easier (Jailbreak Tweak)
Typing on iOS has always been a joy, but fixing mistakes is a little bit more aggravating. We have a new Cydia tweak that lets you fix mistakes a lot easier while typing. It’s call SwipeShiftCaret and it’s very simple and easy to use.
We all know the current way to fix errors or go to a certain spot in a line of text as pictured above, and it’s terrible to deal with sometimes. With SwipeShiftCaret, you can swipe left or right in a text area and you will move characters according to how you swiped. This is much more efficient than trying to go to a mistake and use the magnifying glass to go to a spot in the text field and fix it.
There isn’t too much to say about this tweak except the fact that it’s just purely genius. It makes everything a lot easier and smoother while texting a friend or typing out email from your iDevice. The best part about this tweak is that it’s free on the BigBoss Repo. Since this is a jailbreak tweak, you’ll need to perform an untethered jailbreak.

Apple Pushing Developers Into “Crunch Mode” To Finish iPad 3 Apps
iPad 3 rumors keep coming. In just the last couple of days, we heard several about the next gen iPad featuring a larger battery, a redesigned Retina display which an Apple employee descibed as “truly amazing”. We have heard about the somehow disappointing rumor of the new tablet supporting a dual core processor instead of a quad core, and the latest was an expected early March release.
Today,a new report by TheNextWeb claims that Apple is pushing its key developers to finish the iPad 3 apps so they can show them off whether at the iPad 3 launch or the following iPad 3 advertisments.Apple is known for hand-pickig apps to show off the hardware of a device during iPad presentation.
If you remember, Apple showed off its own Garage Band at the iPad 2 announcement and last year at the iPhone 4S announcement,Apple demoed a high graphics game” Infinity Blade2” to show off the graphic capabilities on the new iPhone 4S.
Usually, Apple;s pre-event weeks are busy picking apps and preparing apps demos for the big event and sources have it the selection process is at its highest now as the company finalizes it’s the lineup for the iPad 3. There is also emphasis on a high graphics apps display which line up with the Retina display rumors.
Sources also claim that some of the apps Apple is impressed with are forwarded to its advertising partner TWBA/Chiat/Day to include in the initial iPad 3 commercials.
Like we always say, these are still rumors. Nothing official yet.

MyAssistant Jailbreak Tweak Adds Custom Commands To Siri
Many Siri tweaks have been flying out of Cydia like crazy ever since the iPhone 4S jailbreak. But this time, we have a very special one to show you! MyAssistant is another revolutionary Cydia tweak that can do many things to Siri just like AssistantExtensions. But MyAssistant is a little different and adds a different approach to toggles and settings than AssistantExtensions.
The whole idea with MyAssistant is to let you, the user, say what you want to say and have Siri do it for you. So for example if you wanted to turn off Bluetooth but wanted to use the word “Stop” instead of “Turn off”, you can! Same idea goes for Wi-Fi, 3G, volume, etc. This option is much better than other Siri tweaks in the sense that you can tell Siri to do it your own way. This also works with Activator as well. If you wanted to start playing a song, or even lock your device, all you have to do is say what you want for that command and as long as you have chosen that option within Activator, such as lock, it will lock your iDevice!
Another amazing thing about this tweak that we haven’t seen yet with any Siri tweaks is the ability to get a custom response from Siri. We have all tried getting Siri to marry us and we always get turned down. But what if you could add a custom response for “Will you marry me”? Now you can, and if you wanted Siri to accept such a proposal, you can make her say yes in whatever way you choose.
This is just a few of the many things that MyAssistant can do. Even though this tweak is paid for a price of $0.99, it’s well worth every penny. Since this is a jailbreak tweak available in Cydia, you’ll need to do an untethered jailbreak for your device. You can use GreenPois0n Absinthe to jailbreak iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1 or iOS 5. Check out this video for an in depth view on what AssistantExtensions can do! Check out this video for more in-depth of all the things MyAssistant can do!

Fix White Icons After Jailbreak Using iWipe Cache (Cydia Tweak)
After the release of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1 using Greenpois0n Absinthe and CLI tool, users have been complaining about white icons problems. This issue is most affecting stock iPhone apps such as Stocks, Mail, Safari, etc. The temporary fix for the problem was to respring the Springboard.
With this new jailbreak tweak named iWipe Cache, you won’t get this problem again.

GLAS.t: The Ultimate Scratch Proof Screen To Protect Your iPhone 4 / 4S
In the recent past, we have seen many new accessories springing up to try and solve common problems associated with gadgets. These problems include issues such as water damage, theft, and screen breakage. Amongst the screen issue category, screen protectors provide quiet an efficient way to preserve the glass displays of our smartphones. But unfortunately, almost all of these plastic protectors are flimsy at best and usually are vulnerable to dust which gradually settles between the plastic and your precious phone screen.
In order to overcome these issues, some smart folks have come up with a new product called GLAS.t. GLAS.t, is a glass screen protector, unlike the competition which mainly consists of plastic form factor. GLAS.t consists of Oleophobic Coated Chemically Treated Glass, which according to what we have heard is a specially designed composition specifically for protecting glass screens of modern day gadgets.
GLAS.t will sit on the front face of your iPhone 4(S). In addition to this there is a silicon adhesive for the back of the device to offer all-round protection to your device. Once installed GLAS.t provides air tight protection to your device not just from scratches and the risk of screen damage but also from dust and dirt. What’s even more telling about this accessory is that it hardly adds any weight to your iPhone, something which is very common with other protective gear.
One might think that using glass to protect glass is just plain stupid. However, GLAS.t isn’t any ordinary glass. Its reinforced, ultra-thin panel will soak up the shock in case of an accident. Instead of being left with shards and slivers of glass of your iPhone screen you can simple brush off the GLAS.t screen and have your iPhone screen solid and new as ever.
Boosting around half a millimeter of thickness GLAS.t costs $27.99 a piece. This might sound too expensive for some, but having said what we already have, we really think that this would be a value for your money.
